Working To Advance Health Equity for All

Despite the passage of the Affordable Care Act, the Latino community continues to suffer greatly because of persistent health disparities, unaffordable coverage and lack cultural appropriate education and services.

We have 29 million uninsured—30% of them are Latinos.

There are over 11 million undocumented immigrants unable to gain insurance coverage or services, even though they are part of the workforce of the country.

And millions of US Citizens living in Puerto Rico and the other US territories are receiving unequal healthcare due to archaic, discriminatory federal regulations that limit federal funding and services; regulations that result on unsustainable fiscal burden and poor health outcomes,

Latino leaders and organizations must get involved in seeking solutions to these inequities to ensure that our demands are not ignored.

Join us in our work to advance health equity in our country by supporting the developing and implementation of policies, programs, and strategies that reduce healthcare disparities in our system so that every person--from the time they are born, and regardless of immigration status--can benefit from equitable services
